o The B Type is graded as such due to the level of priority that the police give it. This has only received secondary status due to the fact that it has been proven an unreliable detection method. For several years, police have received more than thousands of false alarm calls every day. This is the reason why the B Type system is not considered to be the most reliable to use as a house security alarm, as potential sounds supposedly coming from intruders may have just been caused by breaking of glass or house pet mischief.

· The A-Type Alarm

o The A-Type alarm, also called the Monitored Alarm, is the one that is prioritized by the police. Unlike the unreliable sound alarm, the A-type alarm uses a private security station to monitor the movements inside and outside the house. Once an intrusion or sighting of a suspicious person is detected, the monitoring station will in turn call the police. This is mostly used by business companies and by houses that are located far away from neighbouring houses.

· Auto-Dialler System

o The auto-dialler system is the one that is mostly used inside a house. The system works in a way that once the alarm is breached, the wire connected to the phone lines automatically dials a predetermined set of numbers. These numbers may either be your office number, numbers of your family, relatives, friends, or the monitoring company. They will be the ones to notify the police about the intrusion.
