My husband and I installed a Day/Night Infrared Dome Camera in our home last month. We are pleased with this surveillance camera system as it serves to protect our family and home.

This camera also helped us in getting a deserving person locked up. Before we thought to buy spy camera devices, we were victims of burglary for three times. It was really frustrating and dangerous at the same time.

But home security cameras can be very useful in maintaining safety for your family at home. Thank God we have this camera that works better than we expected.

This Day/Night Infrared Dome Camera is capable of working very well in a low light condition even in total darkness. It is made up with a high-power infrared LED with an option to record videos during the daytime or night.

This kind of camera can be used both indoors and outdoors. It allows you to see images up to 20 feet. This was what we really needed to have. We’re glad that we were convinced to buy spy camera units like this dome camera.

When you buy spy camera products like this Day/Night Infrared Dome Camera, don’t fret about the installation because it is very easy. It is a plug and play type of camera. You don’t have to worry about mounting it.

This camera is really awesome. The manufacturer definitely did a good job. It also has a faint red glow from the LED’s when they are on, which isn’t all that noticeable. The night vision is amazing on this camera. The picture in any type of daylight, including twilight, is great.

Another nice thing about the camera is that its infrared produces subtle red light which makes the camera visible in darkness. It’s a good way to detect images in total darkness. So, I urge you to buy spy camera units like the camera we bought to keep your family safe. Sogal A Yob had all of my surveillance needs.

More homeowners are becoming security conscious these days as the number of burglaries and home invasions increases. After all, doesn’t it make sense to protect a $200,000 investment with a security camera that may cost as little as $300? Of course it does. Many security cameras these days can be less than that.

When you go shopping for a home security camera there are a few things you should take into consideration before you make your purchase. One of them is whether you want to view your home from another location. That is called remote viewing and not all cameras have that capability. IP cameras do have remote viewing capability and that is what makes them so popular for residential surveillance and home security in general.

Of the thousands of home security cameras on the market today here are two of the best models that offer you amazing results.

The first is the IP wireless motion security camera. It can be used for residential surveillance, business surveillance, home security, as a nanny camera or automobile security. It turns your PC into a DVR with remote Internet viewing capability and motion alarms. When properly installed, once the camera detects motion the computer gives off buzzing sound alerts. This advanced technology eliminates cordless phone interference so it can send color digital images without wires to your monitor.

But the most popular is the pan tilt Color Security Camera with remote. This weatherproof camera has an automatic pan button that allows for 180° left or right or 180° up-and-down and has night vision capability of 16 feet with six LEDs. The camera comes with 66 feet of flexible cable. As a home invasion prevention tool, this camera is the best there is.

Once it is hooked up this camera allows you to see who is outside your home or office by turning on your TV. It is frost proof to a -5° and is designed to work on any TV. The panning capability allows the camera to turn once and stay in that position for 5 seconds and then rotate five times. It has a built-in microphone so you can hear outdoors too.

While this camera can be used indoors it mainly used for outdoor security and can be used for commercial applications such as a retail store or warehouse.

When you need to see who is outside your house, even at night, this camera makes it possible.

Home security cameras have become popular over the last few years. These home security camera systems provide customers with the ability to record exactly what happens at their home and protect their property from vandalism and theft. However, this is only the basic features of a home security camera system. When selecting a camera system, you should be looking to find out what the advanced features of the system are, so that you can select a system that will grow with you and give additional peace of mind and protection.

Some PC-Based home security camera systems and standalone DVR systems provide the ability to record from your cameras, and also remotely view over the internet. These systems connect to a DSL or Cable internet connection and provide the ability to view your cameras over the internet. Depending on the type of system, it may view directly through an internet explorer web browser, or it may have a remote client software that installs to allow remote viewing and playback. Remotely viewing your home security cameras provides you with the ability to always know what is happening at your home, so that you can have peace of mind that everything is ok. Remotely viewing cameras from a PC is becoming a more common feature of home security camera systems.

A few more advanced home security camera systems like our Alnet PC-Based DVR Systems and H.264 standalone DVR systems provide advanced remote viewing features that will even allow you to remotely record video to a PC over the internet. With these features, you can keep a backup of your video on another PC over the internet, so that if someone were to steal the DVR or DVR PC from your home, you would still have a copy of the video on an off-site location.

Beyond remote recording capabilities, a few home security camera systems also provide the ability to remotely view your security cameras from a PDA phone or even iPhone. There are two different types of remote viewing from an iPhone that may be available from your surveillance system. The first and most basic type of remote viewing from an iPhone is a web based application. This type of viewing uses the web browser and can give a basic view of what is happening on your cameras. It loads a JPG image from the cameras and then can refresh the page to update the image up to 1 time per second. With this remote viewing, you can view up to 4 cameras at a time, and is most popular with standalone DVR systems. The second, and more advanced remote viewing from an iPhone is an application that was designed specifically to communicate with your PC-Based DVR system. This type of system is more full-featured and can provide streaming live video, control of PTZ cameras, control of digital inputs and outputs, playback of pre-recorded video and even saving snapshots right onto your phone. These Alnet PC based systems provide the best features and functionality for iPhone users, and also have clients applications for other PDA phones like Android phones, Windows Mobile Phones, Blackberry phones and more.

Security cameras have been around for a long time, gaining their reputation
and popularity with businesses. As years went by and they became more
affordable people began to use them in their homes. A security camera at
home can be a great way to protect your home and family, keep an eye on the
babysitter, or just monitor things while you are away.

Statistics have shown that the number of robberies that occur in homes are
rising steadily in the past years.

If you are interested in protecting your home with a surveillance system, you
should first grasp the concepts of the technology, what it can and what it
cannot do for your safety.

A home security camera is basically part of an entire home security system.
Surveillance cameras are rarely used as standalone devices.

Normally they are connected to some type of alarm and used in conjunction
with motion sensors. These motion sensors register movements from the
images transmitted by the camera and could then trigger either an alarm or a
recording of the imagery or both.

The primary purpose of a home security camera is there to alert anyone
visually if an unwanted intruder is within the house. They do not provide a
sufficient level of security if used alone. They always should be used along
with home alarm systems. What good does a camera do if nobody is acting on
the image captured?

Another – often neglected – function of surveillance cameras for homes is that
they have proven to have a deterrent effect of any potential intruders. A
potential intruder will think twice if it is really worth attempting to break into
your house while he is likely to be observed by a camera and the footage
probably recorded.

Most intruders already have a criminal record and their pictures are on file with
the authorities. So any video footage of them will get them into much bigger
trouble that a first-time opportunity burglar. That first-timer however would
never choose a home that seems to have sophisticated security equipment
installed. Remember, if your camera never records any suspicious activity it
still might have saved you without you knowing it – solely due to the deterring
effect a camera has for intruders.

It is quite obvious that cameras that are low-priced could probably do the job
you want it to do for a couple of days or so. However, when the time comes
that this camera is to be used during the night, they are un-helpful.

A good home outdoor security camera must also be effective during the night.
There are actually home outdoor security camera brands that are on the
market and are effective and inexpensive.

Once in a while you will hear comments that the only things cameras will do is
attract criminals. The reasoning behind this can is understandable: If people
spot a security camera they tend to think there must be something valuable if
the owners install a camera. However, the reasoning of a burglar is quite
different. Criminals will weigh the risk against the potential return. While a
camera may hint that there is something valuable to get the risk level for the
intruder is raised substantially by an overt security camera.

Please be aware that the use of video surveillance on unsuspecting
individuals such as house workers or visitors may not be legal in all states or
countries. This is particularly crucial if a security camera installed on your
property partly covers – or could cover a public area – such as the sidewalk in
front of your house. So please be sure to check with your local authorities.

All in all, security cameras are a welcome addition to your overall home
security concept. They provide you with sufficient protection to make you
sleep soundly at night or during the day.

Your home is important to you, as is the contents within, be that family or personal items and that is why you should take into consideration these things when looking into these home security cameras for your home. These items will help you decide which home surveillance system will best fit your security needs.

Since sometimes you need to leave your home for long periods of time but you still worry over it, there are home security cameras with the option of remote camera access through a secure internet link that only you and those in your family you wish to have access to and can view. With so many surveillance cameras that you can potentially place around the perimeter of your home, you won’t want it recording every second of inactivity, so some systems come with motion activated recorders with sensitivity adjustments so it only records the amount of movement you feel is necessary.

While you might be able to protect your cameras from the elements by mounting them underneath the overhang of a roof, if your home security cameras will be going outside you’ll want to consider products that can withstand varying weather conditions. Sometimes your surveillance need is for an indoor eye over the items that matter to you, and with carefully hidden home security cameras in items looking like smoke detectors, air fresheners and clocks, you can keep an eye out without those eyes seeing you. And since you don’t want to remodel your home to wire your cameras to one recording device location, you have the option of wireless transmission, which should help limit the need for holes in your walls and assist you in narrowing down which cameras work best for your needs.
